International case conference was conducted with the aim to impart and sustain high quality learning and research environment. Academicians, Research Scholars and Students presented their case study in the conference held on Nov 15th, 2022. The cases belong to various disciplines like human resource management, financial management, marketing management, strategic management, production and operations management, entrepreneurship, e-business, service management, innovation, corporate governance and ethics.
The details of the program schedule are appended as an annexure. The conference began with the inaugural session. The welcome address was given by Dr. Priyadarsini, Head of Department, MBA. The principal address was given by Dr. R. Ramesh, Principal, Tagore Engineering College.
Dr. Susela Devi Suppiah, Director of the Centre for Accountability and Governance Research and Professor of Accounting, Sunway University Business School, Malaysia was the guest of the honour for the conference. The keynote address on topic “Case Pedagogy for MBA students” was well received by faculties, research scholars and students. Her lecture on legacy and importance of case teaching for MBA students was spot on. She patiently answered all the questions raised by the participants.
Total of 25 case studies were presented over three sessions. The Session I had Dr. A. Thanga Raja, Professor, Vellore Institute of Technology, Chennai as a discussant. . His discourse on topic “Introduction to Case Writing” was very informative to all the participants. Ten case studies were presented in the session and the discussant gave a detailed feedback to each case.
The Session II had Dr. Maran Kaliyamoorthy, Professor and Director at Sri Sai Ram Institute of Management Studies as discussant. His presentation on “Importance of Case Teaching” was enlightening to all the participants. Six case studies were presented in the session and the discussant gave his view to individual participants.
The Session III had Dr. Rajesh Ittamalla, Professor, IIT Hyderabad, as a discussant. Nine case studies were presented in the session and the discussant gave individual feedback to all the presenters. He gave a presentation on topic “Case based learning and critical thinking” was very useful and relevant to all the participants.
The closing remarks for the conference were given by Dr. T. Mangaiyarkarasi, Assistant Professor and Vote of Thanks was delivered by Mr. P. Anbarasan, Assistant Professor.
